Some teams have not yet registered with SYFA at syfaregistrations.co.uk. Failure to do so will result in your fixtures being removed - NO TEAMS ARE ALLOWED TO PLAY FOOTBALL IN EDSSA WITHOUT THE PROPER SYFA REGISTRATION AS THIS PROVIDES THE INSURANCE COVER FOR ANY INJURIES CAUSED TO THE YOUNG PLAYERS. Any club/team playing their games whilst not in possession of SYFA Insurance will be brought before the Committee and may be expelled from the Autumn Event.

There is a Code of Conduct that must be followed by everyone to enhance the enjoyment of non competitive football and help to develop young players playing the "beautiful game".

We want good behaviour emphasised to everyone associated with EDSSA football on and off the pitch. Coaches need to be good role models and parents are there to support and encourage, not berate and abuse! Inappropriate behaviour and bad language anywhere on or around the pitch must be stamped out immediately by the coaches. Stop games if you feel it is appropriate to do so for your kids safety in line with Child Protection policies and bring to the attention of your Committee by e-mail within 3 days.

East Dunbartonshire has a strict zero tolerance policy on dogs and smoking in their schools and football venues. It is a condition of our lets that no dogs are allowed at venues and no smoking inside the venue perimeter. For the avoidance of doubt that means anywhere inside the school or sports venue grounds.

Your club websites are now available to view from the Club Links tab.

Please advise if you have a club website that is not on our list or if you have some information you would like to add to your club tab.

The minutes are available to view by following the Meetings / AGM link.

These will be offered for approval at the next meeting on Monday 29 November.

This is in relation to an alarming trend in foul mouthed bad behaviour on and off the pitch. Remember with the advent of video phones, any incident captured and relayed to your Committee WILL result in the strongest possible action being taken by your Committee.

It has come to the attention of your Committee that some teams have been publishing results and/or match reports in the local press. This is against SYFA rules for non competitive football and the practice must cease immediately.

A series of questions were raised at the AGM and clarification was sought from SYFA. These were categorised together and responses have been received.

The Extra-ordinary General Meeting to agree amendments to the Constitution will take place on Monday 15 March (note date change) at 7.30pm in Caldwell Hall, Campsie Road, Torrance. All member clubs must attend to form a quorum to agree. Please click on Meetings/AGM tab to see full amended Constitution

The next meeting of EDSSA is on Monday 17 May at Caldwell Hall, Campsie Road, Torrance. Meeting commences at 7.30pm. Invoices for Spring Event 2010 will be issued so please bring your cheque books. A reminder that the "fine" system for non attendance is in operation.

A disgraceful turnout of only 5 out of 16 member clubs meant that the EDSSA meeting of 17 May could not progress due to lack of numbers to form a quorum. Fines will be issued to all clubs not in attendance.

The final round of fixtures has now been completed and the Spring Event has now finished.

Club coaches please register your team with SYFA now and there will also be a new EDSSA Registration Form posted on the website in the next couple of weeks. Registration forms need to be returned by 31 July and all teams to be registered with SYFA by the time of the August meeting.

As fixtures need to be issued prior to league commencing we require clubs to be FULLY registered with SYFA by end of January. Fixtures will be allocated on 1st February only to those teams who SYFA advise are registered with them for EDSSA.

Spring Event 2010 participation

Fixtures must be played as detailed on the website. There has been one occasion where a team scheduled in a 4 team group had to wait because their opponents started a game against the odd team in the 3 team group and were disadvantaged because of this.

Deadline extended to midnight on 16 AUGUST to submit applications for your teams for the Autumn Event. The registration form was e-mailed out and can be downloaded in the link below this one.

Teams must also register with SYFA per link to the right =========================================>>>>
SYFA Registrtaion requires the signature of Brian although any Committee member should be able to sign on behalf of EDSSA.

If everything is not in place prior to the August meeting then you will lose out - NO EXCUSES

The closing date for registrations has now passed. Fixtures will be released in the next day or so. Please check your age group page for fixtures during the week to ensure that you know where and when your first fixture is due to take place.

4/9 NKU v EDFC Locomotiv - Game Cancelled as NKU cannot field team.

Due to issues with school, the games have been put back 15 minutes and will now start at 11.30pm and 12.30am. Please do not turn up for your game until a maximum 15 minutes before you are due to play.

If your team coaches are not registered on SYFA your participation in EDSSA may be stopped. Brian is trying to arrange a session in Torrance to allow those registered coaches to get Disclosure Checked asap. Watch this space.
